The aim of the project is to offer 12 young curators and conservators a full immersion training course. The course will include museum visits, workshops and seminars (in English and Italian) in order to enable applicants to study closely and therefore familiarise themselves with the collections of the Horne Foundation Museum, the Biblioteca Marucelliana, the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, the Castello Sforzesco in Milan and the Musei Civici, Verona.
The goal of the project is to ensure that participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves full-time: in experiencing technical and scientific issues; in historical and archival analysis and research;and in the preservation and exhibition of Italian master drawings, with the result that they will be ableto make independent decisions in relation to research, acquisition, conservation, and ultimately the enrichment of collections. The seminars will be held in Italian and English.
